FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
A More Practical Business Contacts App Launched for iPhone™
Tyler, TX, USA - July 25, 2009 - For professionals with large numbers of contacts, iPhone™ and iPod touch® users now have a contacts app that they can really use. Bushfire Tex LLC has released to App Store℠, myTacts, a new business-oriented contacts app, which conveniently filters relevant contacts by category, company and department, mirroring the organizational structures that most professionals encounter.
Any contact can be categorized in one or more of Family, Friends, Work, Prospects, Clients, Suppliers or Leisure, so friends or family can also be clients or prospects. In addition, while most contact applications only show First and Last names, myTacts also shows company, department, title and the top line of the note on the contacts list, providing more details at a glance.
Robert Manduca of Liberty Information, an information technology resource provider, says "With the number of companies and candidates I deal with, myTacts makes the iPhone a viable business platform for me". He adds "Drilling down to company and department helps me remember everyone relevant in meetings with clients. Adding more entries saves me the time of entering company or department. It's so much easier to enter and quickly categorize the folks I meet when networking."
"I thought at first that the number of categories were too limited, but I think Bushfire has defined the most common categories used in business today", noted by Meghan, a convention planner.
Touching a phone number, email, address or home page in the contact detail will Dial, Email, Locate on the map or Surf to their home page, maximizing the linkage between myTacts and the rest of the iPhone.
"The top note is an excellent way to remember that charming guy I met the night before. No more freaking out about calling the wrong guy. It's nice to be able to separate my personal from my business life" added Vikki Scales, a marketing manager for a global gourmet foods distributor.
The developer, Alan Gibbons of Bushfire Tex, said, "We focused on leveraging this superb mobile platform without sacrificing any speed, especially when starting up. We've also tested various synchronizing scenarios to ensure that contacts can be safely backed up."
Mr. Gibbons recommends that iPhone users buy now to enjoy the benefits of future upgrades at the current price. Once purchased, any upgrades are free. However, Mr. Gibbons has promised many more features in the coming months and expects to raise the price as significant capabilities are added.
Included in those plans is a sophisticated search mechanism, group emailing and a free, but limited, version. He was not willing to comment on other features, but hinted that they would be innovative.
myTacts is available on App Store for $1.99 with more details at www.myTacts.com. Bushfire Tex LLC (www.bushfiretex.com) is a developer of useful business applications for the iPhone and high speed trading systems.
